misconception between our shona culture and witchcraft

Most black Zimbabweans have abandoned their culture in favor of Christianity, believing it to be demonic and linked to witchcraft. I don't blame them; instead, I blame those who deceived them—we all know who those people are. Because of the way I was raised—always cultural—I personally refused to be brainwashed and continue to practice my culture.

However, in general, our culture forbids witchcraft, murder, and anything else related with wrongdoing. You won't find anyone with blood on their hands or terrible deeds in our culture since it is profoundly spiritual and connected to Musikavanhu, which is another name for God in Christianity. Our culture is primarily Shona culture. We have witnessed people practicing witchcraft and other evil things being associated with our culture, which is totally wrong, just like anything that can be corrupted.

As I mentioned before, witchcraft, murder, and other acts of wickedness are prohibited in our culture. And because we are spiritual beings, it is easy to see those who do these things. These people prefer to reject our culture and criticize it because they know that if they walk down that road, they will be exposed out. As a result, they tend to hide by attending churches because no one can EXPOSE their wrongdoings there.

Conclusion

Thus, it may be said that our culture is not demonic and forbids witchcraft and other practices of a similar nature.
